Fragancia de Jazmín y Nardos,
De flor de Loto y Rosas
Olor a hierba mojada y a,
Carbón ardiente en la madrugada…
Palabra sagrada, que le das a mi alma…
Fuerza, coraje y pasión…
Canción de cuna,
De vida y muerte,
De almas felices y sueños regentes.
Melodía de tierra nueva y cenizas viejas…que evocan tiempos perdidos entre fuego y madera.
Mujer pujante y guerrera,
Por la Paz siempre luchando…
Que de los demás se alimenta, y sueña con alimentarlos…
La abuela preferida de los niños,
La que parece niña debajo de las arrugas…
La que ha comprendido que en círculo de la vida…
Nacemos no sabiendo nada y morimos con las mismas dudas…

The Spanish word Bruja literally translates to the English word ‘Witch”, but the meaning is not the same. In Panamanian culture, the word “witch” has a meaning more in the context of practioners of Wicca, a religion formed around a love and spiritual bond with the natural world.
